In Exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(1) of the Malawi Bureau of Standards Act, 2012, the Board of the
Malawi Bureau of Standards declares the Standards in the Schedule to be Malawi Standards—

MS 7:1980 Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) Presents the comparative physical, chemical, and mechanical
pipes installation-Code practice properties of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes in
common use, to provide guidance in their selection for
applications and to define sound practice in fabrication and
installation of such pipe work.
MS 9: 2011 Plugs, socket outlets and socket outlet Covers three-pin plugs, socket outlets and socket outlet
adaptors-Specification adaptors for use at nominal statutory supply voltages to earth
and for currents not exceeding 15 amperes, and intended for
use in household and similar purposes.
MS 12:1981 Vinegar-Methods of test Specifies methods of test for vinegar intended for use as
condiments.
MS 18:2010 Carbonated soft drinks-Specification Specifies requirements for carbonated soft drinks. The
standard does not cover requirements for fruit juices, fruit
flavoured drinks and comminuted fruit drinks.
