An Act to amend the Electoral Commission Act
ENACTED by the Parliament of Malawi as follows-

1. This Act may be cited as the Electoral Commission Short title
(Amendment) Act, 2017.
2. The Electoral Commission Act (hereinafter referred to as the Amendment
"principal Act"), is amended in section 2, by inserting therein, in the ofs. 2 of
correct alphabetical order, the following new definitions- Cap. zm

'"'Chairman" means tbe Chairman of the Com.mission;
"Commission" means the Electoral Commission established
under section 75(1) of the Constitution; and
3. Section 4 of the principal Act is hereby repealed and replaced Replacement
